For the past decade Friends of the Earth (FoE) has researched and campaigned against the use of toxic pesticides. The major focus of this work has been impacts of pesticides in drinking water, food and waterways. In 2012 Friends of the Earth produced the publication 'The Dose Makes The Poison?', which highlights the most commonly detected pesticides on food consumed in Australia. This publication has received thousands of downloads.

The Government has closed one loophole, but missed the opportunity to remove $10 billion of fossil fuel subsidies from the Federal Budget and limit further climate change, according to ‘Paid to Pollute’, the alliance of environment and community organisations.

A Nepalese expedition 'Climbing for Climate Justice' led by four-time world record climber Pemba Dorje Sherpa will ascend Mount Everest (Nepal) from May 10, 2013. Expedition members [1] plan to reach the world's highest mountain peak (8,848 m) on May 26 in an attempt to establish several world records.
The expedition aims to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change and the need for climate justice.
