Climate Summit: world leaders fiddle while planet burns

NEW YORK CITY, USA, September 16, 2014 – One week before world leaders gather here for their Climate Summit, Friends of the Earth International warned that the September 23 ‘talk shop’ will only see leaders fiddling with flimsy pledges instead of committing to binding carbon reductions.

Unconventional gas, oil and coal mining threatens SA

Most of South East South Australia is under exploration license for Unconventional Gas and Oil. The South Australian government’s “Roadmap for Unconventional Gas Projects in SA” outlines the government and industry vision to allow exploration and extraction of shale gas, coal seam gas and tight gas in 35% of the state.
